OPERATIONAL TIPS

1. Wi-Fi: The Cabin Wi-Fi password is “treehouse456” with no uppercases or spaces.

2. TV Operation: The cabin is equipped with smart TV’s. For the living room TV. Use the remote to power on the TV and then press the “Home” button to access all of the apps. We’ve provided access to the Sling App for a live TV experience. However, you’re welcome to sign in to any of your favorite streaming apps using your own login information.

3. Heating & Cooling: The Cabin and the Treehouse Suite each have lower wall mounted heaters with their own controls on each unit and overhead Heat Pump/AC Units which can be controlled by using the white remotes.  During times of outside ambient temperatures above approximately 40 degrees, we find it best to use the heat pumps for both heating and cooling by simply setting the desired inside temperature using the white remotes. To help circulate the air and keep the lofts from getting over heated, it is beneficial to keep the ceiling fans operating in the cabin on low seed.  If one chooses to use the wall mounted heaters, be sure to turn off the Heat Pump/AC unit using the white remote, which will then not allow the wall heaters and Heat Pumps to function against each other and will then allow the cabin/treehouse to reach the desired temperature.  (During the winter months, we turn off the Heat Pumps and remove the white remotes that control them.)

4. Back Covered Deck & Treehouse Suite Entry: Please remember these deck/porch areas are an extension of the indoor living spaces and just like the inside, absolutely no smoking or vaping of any kind is allowed in these areas!

5. Hot Tub: We’ve posted the full Hot Tub safety rules above the hot tub, please review them before enjoying. Additionally, please shower before use, keep the cover on when not in use and DO NOT use or add body lotions, soaps, oils, bubbles of any kind as this helps keep the water clean, ph balanced, and the hot tub comfortable for you, and our next guest’s enjoyment.  We’ve also supplied the cabin with plastic glassware should you desire your favorite beverage when using the hot tub.  Please DO NOT USE anything glass inside the hot tub or the surrounding deck area as broken glass in a hot tub is extremely dangerous.  Additional towels for the Hot Tub and Sauna can be found in the grey cabinet by the sauna.

6. Sauna: The control panel is located inside the sauna on the back wall.  The max temperature is 135 degrees Fahrenheit, outside weather temperature permitting. The manufacturer has recommended the Sauna not be operated when it is cold outside, therefore, it is a seasonal amenity and is disabled during the winter months.

7. Treehouse Master Suite Steam Shower & Outdoor Shower: In the steam shower, the control panel can be used to adjust the lighting and fans.  Under the control panel is a knob for selecting which shower sprayer is desired. The seasonal outdoor shower is operational May through September and is located outside on your own private small, covered patio.

8. Miscellaneous: An ironing board can be found beside the washing machine and an iron in the overhead cupboard above the washing machine. A hair dryer is stored under the bathroom sink.  Additional paper towels are stored over the microwave and garbage bags over the refrigerator or under the kitchen sink.  A small first aid kit and band aids can be found in the cupboard over the washing machine.

9. Privacy Blinds: Please note that Privacy Shades can be found in the living room, bedrooms and bathroom windows they just might be hiding behind the curtain valances.

10. Kitchen Table: The table can be unfolded for additional seating and table space.  There are support extensions with knobs that can be pulled out to support the leaves when unfolded.

11. Couch: The living room couch has a center console that can be unfolded.  Simply lift-up on the center seam area of the back center section, lift up firmly so it will stay up and fold down the center section.  There are “touch to turn” lights on the top section and cup holders.

FIRE SAFETY

1.  Fire Extinguisher: There is a fire extinguisher hanging on the wall by the door to the bathroom to the right side of the kitchen.

2. Fire Pit: For your safety, if you plan on building a campfire in the picnic area, we encourage you to avoid foraging for sticks in the woods.  The Maine woods are notorious for ticks and poison ivy, so it’s best to stay on the gravel areas. There are numerous roadside stands that sell bundles of camp firewood that you can purchase. Lastly, of course, please practice good fire safety and no fireworks of any kind are allowed!

3. SMOKING: No smoking of any kind is allowed inside of the Cabin, Treehouse and/or any of its porches or decks. Obviously, do not throw cigarette butts on the ground!
